Single Girl's Sidebar
I’ll be honest with you. When I first had the idea for a page devoted to singleness, I thought it was just a silly brainstorm idea and like many brainstorm ideas, I figured it wouldn’t make the final cut. In fact, I hoped it wouldn’t make the final cut. You see, singleness is a part of my story that I generally don’t like to draw attention to. But, I just kept sensing God wanted me to go there.
So here we are.
Now, I want to be clear from the start that this page is not focused on dating advice or female empowerment.
Rather, this page is about learning to lean into Jesus in singleness. I’m certainly not perfect nor do I have everything figured out, but I do have years of experience in God using singleness to draw me closer to himself. So, consider this my space to share some heartfelt writings as well as resources I’ve found helpful.
I deeply want you to know that Singleness Is Not Purposelessness. Whether you’re single for a season or a lifetime, it’s not something you have to be ashamed of. I pray this little sidebar provides a boost to fully live the life God has called you to. And if you’re not single, pass it along to the single friends and loved ones in your life.
“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.”
